Call for proposal - Eni Award 2009

The 2009 Edition of the Eni Award has now been launched. Rules and Regulations and candidature proposal forms are available from the following website:

The Eni Award aims to promote scientific and applied research and to provide incentives for technological development and innovation in the field of energy and its transformation.

This annual prize bears witness to the critical importance given in recent years by Eni to scientific research and issues related to sustainability, and is marked by the complexity and the completeness of the approach to the issue of sustainable energy.

In this year’s edition the Eni Award assigns three main international prizes for outstanding achievements in scientific works in the field of Energy and Environment, and two national prizes to be assigned to PhD students: 

- The New Frontiers in Hydrocarbon  
  Prize worth 300.000 euros

- The Renewable and Non Conventional Energy
  Prize worth 200.000 euros

- The Protection of the Environment  
  Prize worth 200.000 euros

- Two Debute in Research
  Prizes worth 25.000 euros each

The call for proposal process is open to all those who meet the criteria defined in the Regulations and Announcements and wish to participate to this year’s edition, or to those who wish to nominate a scientist as candidate.
