Climate change is on everybody’s mind.
The general effect of rising temperature will be sea-level rise and greater aridity on land. The interaction of higher temperatures and water in Europe is so complex that the precise consequences will differ from place to place. In general longer and extensive draught periods will occur, while there will also be periods of heavy rain and storms. The weather will become more dynamic and less predictable.
CURnet (Gouda, NL) wishes to set up an INTERREG IVC project as a lead partner, establishing a European network of cities and government (equivalent) bodies to exchange knowledge and experience, as well as ideas on how to adapt cities to climate change and to ensure an affordable climate proof urban future.
