A green city is...
a city designed with consideration of environmental impact, inhabited by people dedicated to minimization of required inputs of energy, water and food, and waste output of heat, air pollution, and water pollution.

It is estimated that around 50% of the world’s population now lives in cities and urban areas, which brings challenges to the carrying capacity of economy and environment. It becomes more and more important for us to adopt the sustainability thinking in our urban development.

China Green City Summit 2010
The China Green City Summit 2010 is aimed to explore the sustainable solutions and opportunities for cities of the future in China. The summit will provide a platform to bring together international experts and leaders and address concerns in the area of urban planning, green building, renewable energy, public transportation, waste management etc.
