Experiences

Marco has a lot of experience with spatial planning, in particular how to embed and enhance “green” functions in urban regional development. He did this in projects at the Dutch National Planning Agency and for the Province of South-Holland, also at Alterrra (Wageningen’s University Advisory Agency) and as project coordinator Metropolitan Agriculture at Transforum, Dutch Innovation Network for Horticulture and Agriculture.
At Urban.nl Marco worked for Eurostat on environmental statistics and he co-developed the Agropolis concept for innovative urban agriculture.

Green spaces: multifunctional, ecologically sound and productive

Marco represents a new generation of “eco planners”. He is environmentally conscious and knows how to find the right experts and engage them to develop new inspiring perspectives.

Civic engagement

Marco is member of the board of “070.Energiek”, cooperation for sustainable energy in his hometown The Hague. The cooperation brings together citizens, exchanges know how and realizes common projects.
